“Every Fire Performer should watch this! This is Jeremy Croxton’s staff performance at Florida Flow Fest, and it is awesome mix of flow and contact. But what makes this cooler for him is two things that I have noticed…

First that staff is a virgin… He didn’t burn it until this performance… 3 sets of wick at 5 feet a piece “This is massive fire”
Second from what he has said on his post… this was his first performance in front of a large audience! Let alone spinners!

Incredible job!”

So you say $1000 for improving the flow arts? Awesome! So fundtheflowarts.org is a website on a mission.

The mission is as follows:

- advance the prop manipulation-based Flow Arts
- foster local Flow Arts communities
- cultivate a global community of Flow Arts practitioners

With these in mind, they have announced a pilot year of the Seed Fund –this is a grant program that will award small amounts (up to $1,000) for projects that meet these goals. The fact that is a “pilot run” means that its the first time they are offering the grants, as well a learning experience to do it most effective in the future. Of course they can’t just give away millions of dollars so make your grant entry count. Specifically they are looking for the highest potential for the broadest public impact.

The deadline is November 14th, 2011. Grant winners will be announced (hopefully) before Thanksgiving, aka November 24th, 2011.
